This outstanding folk art drawing, of large size, exceptional color, and fine condition, was drawn in Lancaster County. The artist has created a wonderful and balanced depiction of the choice between heaven and eternal life and happiness, or hell and eternal misery.

While probably not used as a teaching tool, this drawing might have been viewed as a guideline for the religious or moral values of the day. Drawings like this one are extremely rare.
