A recent discovery, these statues are
the only known examples of their type.
In virtually perfect condition, they sit upright with regal presence, exhibit strong hindquarters, tense muscular front legs, stiff straight necks, animated ears, and exquisitely stylized decoration. The dogs retain a wonderful green and red patina. The tails, now lost, were probably made of an organic material such as horsehair.
