Charles Percy Austin was born in Denver, Colorado on March 23,1883. Autin was a pupil of Twachtan at the Art Students League in New York City and Castelucho in Paris. He moved to Los Angeles in 1908 and was a resident of San Juan Capistrano. Austin specialized in poster designs and illustrated 'Capistrano Nights' in 1930. He was a member of the California Art Club and the California Watercolor Society.He exhibited at the Panama-California Exhibition, San Diego in 1915 where he won a Silver Medal. Austin died in Santa Monica on March 17, 1948.
