A Large First Period Worcester Blue & White Punch Pot.
The globular body of the teapot is decorated with a blue transfer Chinoiserie landscape. The neck is adorned with a blue diaper band. A period silver chain connects the handle to the body.
The pattern is known as "The Plantation Print" and is illustrated in Branyan, French and Sandon's Worcester Blue and White Porcelain, 1751-1790, Second edition, II. B. 5, page 331. It is unusual to find this pattern with a border.
Circa 1758.
