The cylindrical-form mugs have a molded ribbed banding around the foot and below the rim. At the foot is a single gilt band, around the center is a band of gilt vine. Around the rim there is another gilt band of overlapping ovals and dots. Within the inner lip is a further gilt decoration of a wavy line and large dots. The handle is highlighted in gilt on either side and has a decoration of gilt flowers.

Mark: Crown, crossed batons, six dots and 'D' in puce. On one there is a puce number '2' on the footrim of the base.

The contrast between the beautiful white porcelain and the fine rich color of the understated gilt decoration make these mugs particularly attractive.
