A Pair Of English Porcelain Compotes In Claret Color.

The dishes each are painted with a flower sprig, one with a blue bellflower and the other with a vivacious red bloom. Each is surrounded with a gilt flower and foliate C-scroll cartouche that is against a claret ground. The molded rims undulate in C-scrolls and scallop shells and are accented in gilt.
