A Fine Pair Of Paris Porcelain Neo-Classical Vases, Possibly Schoelcher.
The gilt vases have to each side raised handles in the form of winged lions above a column terminating in a pineapple. Around the vase is a gilt band of acanthus leaves and to the reverse an antique war helmet and arms.
To the front of each vase is a circular panel in brown with a double cameo picture, each named. On one is Octaviue & Cesar. On the other depicts Cleopatra & Antonius. The condition is good with rubbing to the gilt on the reverse on the top of the design.
Marks: The first pieces is inscribed: 11, The second piece: 12.
