A British Sailor's Woolwork of the 'H.M.B. Nautilus' The woolwork picture depicts the training brig, H.M.B. Nautilus. The two-masted brig sails from left to right and flies a Red Ensign. A long red banner flies from the topmast. The blue sea is calm, and stylized clouds litter the sky. On a red banner below the scene is the ship's name. The H.M.B. Nautilus was a training brig built by Pembroke Dock in England, May 20, 1879. It was 501 tons and measured 105 by 33 feet and was armed with eight guns. It was sold to Cox & Co. Ltd., Falmouth for breaking up.
