John Carleton Wiggins (1848-1932), An Adirondack Forest. Oil on canvas, 20 x 12 inches. Signed lower left: J. Carleton Wiggins and dated: 1877. Also signed lower left: A.F. Tait N.A. underneath Wiggins signature. Friend Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait (1819-1905) assisted by painting the three grouse on the forest floor.
