The most wonderful English George III four-part banqueting table.

With two 'Cumberland action' centers and two pedestal ends. It is all as originally made to extend, leaf by leaf, from the two pedestal ends (39 1/4 inch single boards!) to a fully extended 18 feet. Around the table is an amazing long set of fourteen American classical mahogany chairs, circa 1815. The English oak clock cupboard is the best, with a scroll top and matching quarter-sawn panels, circa 1780. Flanking the cupboard is a pair of original gilt 18th-century French mirrors. On the left is a beautiful late-18th-century mahogany English sideboard with brass gallery, on which is a matched pair of mahogany knife boxes with silver mounts, inscribed (in Latin) 'Swiftness and Bravery,' circa 1790.
