Penthouses, roof gardens, what soirees I've attended
Designed amongst and for 'dear, dear' friends,
I held a portrait for Abbott Thayer,
And a bas-relief, for Augustus Saint-Gaudens
Yes, I've hung high art in high society,
Amidst the highest of brows,
Overheard gossip about a murder,
But the trial of the century, I dare not arouse
From the upper echelons to the Upper East Side,
Your acquaintance I await at Lowy,
