Very fine George III Silver Tankard made by Hester Bateman in 1784 London. Family crest of the Longueville, Baaronet of Nova Scotia whose ancestry traces back to the reign of William the Conquerer (1066-1087) on side. Very good London hallmarks on 1784 as well as the export mark of the same year. on tankard and on lid. This presentation piecfe was most certainly a treasured possession of the Baaronet. All dimensions are near and approximate. Item normal wear to age; excellent condition.
