Original hand colored lithograph from a monograph of the Trochilidae or Family of Hummingbirds (1849-1861) Plate #39 is the only plate in the series illustrating two species Phaethornis Nigricinctus (Belted Hermit) and Phaethornis Episcopus (Bishop Hermit). It appears that Gould did this because they are according to him so similar. Framed with mat. Framed size 20-1/2"x28", Sight size 13"x20".
