Fine Chippendale Figured Mahogany Serpentine Front Secretarial Desk having a bookcase top with a dentil-work ornamented pitched pediment centered by a carved cork-screw finial over two paneled doors with scalloped surrounds, opening to adjustable shelves, flanked by fluted pilasters over a slant fronted lower section with a fitted interior comprised of a central prospect door flanked by four pigeon holes over two over one small drawers, four graduated long drawers in the reverse-serpentine exterior with blocked ends and original brasses all over ogee bracket feet. Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1775. Width 42 3/4", depth 23", height 92" (7'8").
