Literature: Who's Who In American Art lists John Bradley as a Folk portrait and miniature painter living in New York City and active between 1826 and 1847. He was self taught and was a painter of charming, colorful, and detailed portraits in the English folk art tradition. Most of his stters were from NYC, Staten Island, or New Jersey.
