Fine Queen Anne Mahogany Slipper-Foot Tea Table having convex tray moldings, a convex molded apron with shaped knee return brackets continuing to squared cabriole legs of the most elegant design ending in slipper feet.

Goddard-Townsend School, Newport, Rhode Island, circa 1740-1760.

The highly successful execution of the cabriole legs, the delicate knee returns that provide a smooth transition from the apron to the legs, and the pleasant nut-brown patina all combine to make this one of the most pleasing examples of the slipper foot form we have seen.
