EXCEPTIONAL Mahantongo Valley PA, dated 1830 A classic Pennsylvania decorated chest of drawers from the Mahantongo Valley -- retaining its exceptional green and blue painted finish with birds, flowers, rosettes, fans and compass point designs in yellow, red and black. This outstanding example is attributed to Johannes Mayer (1794-1883) and is dated 1830. From the Dittmar collection.
