John Vanderlyn II (American, 1805–1876) Santa Claus Oil on canvas, 25 x 30 inches Signed and dated 1845. Original frame, canvas unlined. Painted for the cabin of the Hudson River steamer Santa Claus, owned by Ezra Finch which operated on the Hudson between Roudout the port of Kingston and New York.
