A rare tall case clock, by Samuel Ranlet, Monmouth, Maine, circa 1815.
This case clock is in wonderful original condition with a red washed birch surface. The case in many ways is provincial but features high style features like brass capitals and bases on both the hood and quarter columns. The dial which is manufactured and painted in Boston, is vibrantly decorated with an oval medallion in the lunette and wonderful geometric spandrels.
