A good ormolu French Directoire Gout d'Egypt mantel clock. Egyptian headed terms hold up the convex enamel dial and 8 day bell striking movement with silk suspension. The dial surrounded by fine cast bezel and all surmounted by swans feeding & a flaming torch. The rectangular base with canted corners on bun feet. Circa 1795. 14 inches.
