A dramatic country Chippendale cherry chest with diminutive proportions: molded top with projecting corners, graduated drawers, fluted quarter columns terminating in lamb's tongue design, ogee feet. Original brasses, old crackled shellac finish. No repair or restoration. Probably Litchfield County, circa 1790.
