A fantastic carved and painted wooden rooster weathervane on its original mid 19th century weathered 20 room purple martin house. A similar rooster is pictured in the book “American Folk Art in Wood, Metal & Stone” and now resides in the Museum of Modern Art. The weathervane can be displayed separately on a museum mounted base.
