Large and Important Liverpool Jug
With polychrome transfers. For the American market. Believed to have been a presentation jug for Ebenezer Dibble Starr; descended in the Wildman-Starr family of Danbury, Connecticut.
The Starr-owned sword factory was the first in this country and supplied the colonial army by act of the Continental Congress. The jug is in remarkable condition, retaining its original gilt decoration.
