This impressive chest on chest has a wonderful mellow color and superb proportions. The upper case has a broken-arch pediment and fluted pilasters flanking graduated drawers and three short drawers with a radiant fan carving at center. The entire interior of the roof boards are lined with period news print from the "Norwich Packet". The bottom case has graduated drawers above ogee bracket feet and a detailed shell-carved drop. The importance of this chest is further elevated by the terrific set of original brass hardware.
