Horse Andirons
An unusual pair of cast iron and brass andirons in the form of horses' heads of cast iron perched on cast brass carriage wheels, in excellent condition, labelled on the log supports "Sheffield", a late 19th and early 20th century New York foundry, perfect for the horse lover, 17" H. Horse Andirons
These appear to be a one of a kind "Folk Art" pair of iron andirons, hand made from iron billets cut in the shape of horses heads and combined with iron horse shoes attached at the front and rear, probably late 19th or early 20th Century, probably American, in very good original condition, showing minor wear consistent with their age, great for the equestrian, 11-1/2" H.
